Pli-Dek System – Inclement Weather
The PLI-DEK waterproof deck system for plywood substrates has been ICC-ES evaluated since 1980. The system utilizes a 2.5 galvanized metal lath and a polyacrylic emulsion base coat, with a wide variety of finish options. All of the systems carry a One-Hour and Class A Fire Rating. When installed, the system is approximately 3/16 inch thick and less than 3 lbs. per square foot, therefore, alleviating additional framing expenses of typical One-Hour Fire Rated assemblies. The systems have been through extensive ATSM testing, as well as many years of applications in the field, therefore has proven its durability and quality. With proven years of success, low maintenance, and cost effectiveness the Pli-Dek System will continue to uphold your reputation as an industry leader.

- Metal Lath:
a. All Metal Lath shall be 2.5lbs sq yard hot dipped G90 Galvanized.
a. In Inclement Weather (IW) areas, all edge metal shall be 26 ga. galvanized, 302 Stainless Steel or Copper (contact Pli-Dek for Alternatives).

The sealant is required to be a Polyurethane Sealant per ASTM C 920, or approved equal.
d. All vertical flashing shall be coated with Fiberglass and PD Resin or PD Flash Coat and Flash Coat Seam Tape or a self-adhering drywall mesh tape, GU80 Top Coat, and GS88 pigmented sealer at the time of applying each product. It is optional to coat all perimeter flashings with PD Flash Coat and Flash Coat Seam Tape or a self-adhering drywall mesh tape in addition to the mandatory GS88 Pigmented Sealer.
e. All door pans, threshold flashing, and deck to wall flashings shall be coated with Fiberglass and PD Resin or PD Flash Coat and Flash Coat Seam Tape or a self-adhering drywall mesh tape.
